The Gainesville Food Pantry

THE REST OF THE STORY

The Gainesville Food Pantry is a unique, interdenominational, hands-on ministry that serves about 2,400 families a year.  Behind this number are real people who struggle to feed themselves and their families.

Five area churches participate in operating the Gainesville Food Pantry.  Each of the churches contributes volunteers to operate the pantry, money for the facility's rent, donated goods from church food drives, and certain perishable food items to augment non-perishable food which is bought from Food Banks.

The five churches which make up this ecumenical partnership are St. Paul United Methodist Church, Grace Episcopal Church, First Presbyterian Church, First United Methodist Church, and First Baptist Church.

The Gainesville Food Pantry works in partnership with Atlanta Community Food Bank, Georgia Mountain Food Bank, North Georgia Community Foundation, Chestnut Mountain Egg Farm, Jackson EMC Foundation, Inc, and Hallock Fund of Georgia.

Contributions to the Gainesville Hall County Community Food Pantry, a 501(c)3 organization, are tax deductible, and can be sent to our office at 615 Oak Street, Suite E, Gainesville, Ga 30501.
